Many people do not know that there are free tours of Grand Central Terminal. It is not your usual kind of tour, it takes you behind the scenes of the train station and how things work there. You see where FDR's train still is, they take you below the building and show you what it takes to make the trains run on time (mostly) but the best part if that they take you up on the walking areas above the terminal. I am literally inside of the Mercury Clock on Park Avenue, looking up at the Tiffany clock and the statue of Mercury, you can only do this on the tour.
